‘All this money is a curse’, says Kevin-Prince Boateng

Fiorentina striker Kevin-Prince Boateng says money in football is a curse, while football is just business now and the players are nothing more than numbers.

Boateng has lived a luxurious life once and says he feels disappointed with the direction in which the sport of football is heading.

According to him, there is no loyalty in football and claims that many footballers are unhappy and stressful.

“All this money is a curse. Football is just business now and we are just numbers. If your face does not fit, then replace, point. No more loyalty. It’s sad, ”Boateng told Bild.

“Of course football is the job of professionals, but it pays well to become a source of stress. The pressure is very high, so it’s easy to talk about things like depression. There are times when I have fun and there are times when I don’t have fun,” he added.

“Before, I was constantly entertained. I get angry when I see guys who don’t show their talent. I know what it means to waste talent,” the former Milan and Barcelona star continued.

“Some 19-year-olds drive Mercedes, get paid and are happy. They are full of talent and do nothing; do no extra exercise, nothing. I used to do it, but you can’t do that in football anymore,” he concluded.
