Arteta hopes Xhaka does not leave Arsenal
Xhaka may say goodbye to Arsenal in the January transfer window.
The Albanian footballer is not happy about the incident with the fans and thinks that leaving is the best choice for all.
He also missed Chelsea’s 1-2 home defeat, another signal that he is even closer to Hertha Berlin, as the 27-year-old’s agent announced yesterday.
However, coach Mikel Arteta has insisted he does not want Granit Xhaka to leave Arsenal.
“He’s a great player, I hope not,” Arteta said when asked about Xhaka’s possible departure.
He added that the absence against Chelsea had nothing to do with speculation.
“He played at Bournemouth, he played very well, he was very dedicated, he played very well. After the game, it started to feel bad, there was temperature too. He has been in bed for the last two days, he has not been called for this.”
