Atalanta coach: We lost to Inter by a corner

Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini said he would not have done anything different against Inter despite leaving San Siro empty-handed.

Atalanta tried to equalize, as Milan Skriniar scored the only goal of the match after 54 minutes and helped Inter increase the lead at the top of Serie A to six points.

But Gasperini said he would not have changed his approach after a strong performance against League leaders, even though his side were narrowly beaten 1-0 on Monday night.

“If I were to repeat it 100 more times? I would say yes, “Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia after the match.

“We had a good game, both in the first half and in the second half. We lost in a corner kick, a little confused. “We lost because of an episode,” said Gasperini.

Atalanta remains in fifth place with 49 points after 26 rounds.
