Bale: My plan is clear, I will return to Real Madrid in the summer
Gareth Bale has made it clear he will return to Real Madrid once his loan move to Tottenham ends in June this summer.
The 31-year-old winger, who has a contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2022, has made 25 appearances for Tottenham so far this season, scoring 10 goals and donating three assists.
But Bale has failed to take the starting position in Jose Mourinho’s squad and his permanent return to north London does not seem possible, which he himself has accepted.
“It does not distract me before Euro 2020,” Bale said of his precarious future.
“My plan has always been to do a season at Spurs, and then return to Madrid as I have another year in the contract. I have been planning for so long to be honest,” he added.
