Barcelona routs Leganés to advance to Copa quarterfinals

Barcelona beat Leganes by a deep 5-0 score at Camp Nou tonight by qualifying in the King’s Cup quarter-finals.

Barcelona showed tonight that true character we didn’t see in the weekend’s game against Valencia.

A match clashes with Barcelona taking the lead in the first minutes.

It was an action built by Nelson Samedo in the fourth minute that assisted Antoine Griezmann to take the lead.

The second goal came in the 28th minute where on stage was the winner of six golden balls, Lionel Messi.

He assisted on a corner kick to defender Clement Langlet, who scored 2-0.

In the second half again it was Bareclona who dominated the meeting.

It was a Messi supergol in the 59th minute that crossed the entire field and in the end managed to score even though there were four Leganes defenders ahead of him.

Barcelona would quadruple the lead in the 77th minute through Arthur who scored after a deflection of a Messi kick from Leganes defenders.

Blaugrana’s manita is completed in the 89th minute where Messi would score his second personal goal of the match after Rakitic’s assist.

With this victory, Barcelona qualify for the King’s Cup quarter-finals.
