Bayern Munich are targeting Nagelsmann, but RB Leipzig is asking for 30 million euros
Bayern Munich have shown interest in appointing Julian Nagelsmann as the team’s new coach, but RB Leipzig is asking for a world record amount of 30 million euros to release him, according to Goal and Spox.
Hansi Flick has decided to leave the post of Bayern coach in the summer, and this was confirmed days ago in an interview.
Bayern intend to replace him with the new coach of Leipzig.
The sum of 30 million euros would be the highest in history for a coach.
Although only 33 years old, Nagelsmann has five years as Bundesliga coach after initially leading Hoffenheim.
At the age of 28, he was the youngest coach in Bundesliga history and led the team from a place in the relegation zone, to a place in the Champions League zone.
After three years, he took over at Leipzig and sent him to the Champions League semi-finals in the 2019/20 season, where he was defeated by Paris Saint-Germain.
