‘B*stard’ Messi rests during games, claims Eibar coach

Eibar coach Jose Mendilibar believes that Barcelona captain and star Lionel Messi need not miss the match anymore because he simply rests while on the field.

Before Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Napoli, Quique Setien will face Eibar in La Liga on Saturday, but Lionel Messi is not sure if he will headline.

However, Mendilibar is convinced that Argentine Messi does not need to take a break in this weekend’s game as he is an expert at using energy only when needed.

“I don’t think Messi will be fired,” Mendilibar said during a pre-match press conference.

“That b * stard rests during matches. He knows when to get involved and when to stop.”

“If he had been given a break, he would have made it worse by watching the team playing from the stands and getting more tired.”

“At times, while I was in Osasuna, we had a King’s Cup match at Camp Nou. In the morning it was said that Messi would not play because he had stomach problems and had a fever.”

“After eating bread, he was invited to the squad and was on the bench. We were losing 2-0 and then I saw him getting ready to enter the match. In the end he scored two goals and we lost 4:0.
