La Liga
Confirmed by Real Madrid, Hazard will miss Man City & Barcelona games
Eden Hazard will miss Real Madrid’s first match against Manchester City in the round of 16 in the Champions League, as well as against El Clasico next weekend, due to a knee injury.
The Belgian winger was back against Celta Vigo last week after missing a three-month absence due to a similar injury, but did not last more than an hour in Real Madrid’s 1-0 defeat against Levante on Saturday.
Hazard was seen limping off the field and coach Zinedine Zidane took his place.
Although Real Madrid have not shown how long Hazard may be missing, according to Spanish media, the Belgian has suffered serious injury and will miss Manchester City’s derby and Barcelona derby.
Real Madrid host Manchester City on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu for the first leg in the 1/8 of the Champions League final.
On Sunday, however, Zinedine Zidane’s side face La Liga rivals and leader Barcelona in an important battle for the title this season.
According to Spanish media, Hazard will miss both games.
