Conte: “Eriksen has not yet found the right physical condition”
Inter won their first match against Ludogorets 0-2 in the Europa League. A win that almost secures Antonio Contes’s squad.
The Italian coach has spoken after the triumph in the match against Ludogorets and has stopped at the new acquisition, Christian Eriksen, who scored the first goal with Inter.
“We were good in the second half as we controlled the field and had more opportunities to score. We tried some other alternatives and managed to take advantage of the opportunities we had during the match,” said Conte.
“Eriksen? He has to work. It can do much better than it did today. I’m happy for him, as the goal gives him confidence, but he has to find the pace and intensity again, as he has in previous years. Not yet in the right physical condition. We know we’ve got an important player and will look forward to it calmly and without anxiety. It’s not a problem for us, we want to integrate it for the benefit of Inter. That’s the only thing we think about.”
