Erling Haaland gives the perfect answer regarding comparisons with Messi and Ronaldo
Erling Haaland has said he can not yet be compared to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Norwegian striker is excelling at Borussia Dortmund, scoring 33 goals in 31 appearances this season.
He is also showing high form in the Champions League, until he became the youngest player to score 20 goals in 14 appearances in the biggest club competition in Europe.
For these matches, he is of course ahead of Messi and Ronaldo – who need 40 and 50 matches respectively to reach this figure.
“I only think about myself, to improve my game every day,” Haaland told Dagbladet.
“I do not need to talk about Messi and Ronaldo, probably the best players in history. “I still need to do a lot to reach them.” added the Norwegian
This season, Messi has scored four goals more than Haaland, while Ronaldo has scored 30 – three less than Haaland in all competitions.
