Guardiola: ‘Sane didn’t reject Man City contract offer’
Germany linked with return to Homeland, but improved offer still on the table by Etihad club
Pep Guardiola remains optimistic when it comes to Leroy Sane and his new contract with Mancheser City, with an offer previously rejected by him.
During the summer of 2019 there were talks linking him to a move to Bayern Munich in Germany, but the 24-year-old was seriously injured.
“I have no news for him, I’m sorry. I would like to tell you but … you should ask Tziki Begiristain. The latest information I have is that we have an offer for him for a long time and so far he has not refused, so I have no other news for him,” Guardiola told reporters when asked if he had any any innovation for Sane’s contract.
Guardiola is well prepared for Sane’s departure as he still does not know when he will return to the field.
“Sane has started training with us, good news, he has surprisingly recovered faster, it’s good to be back,” he added.
