Henderson: It’s too early to say that Liverpool are the favorites to win the Champions League
Jordan Henderson has said it is too early to call Liverpool the favorite to win the Champions League this season.
The Reds will start their Champions League title defense today (Tuesday), facing Napoli in Group E.
The international media reports that Liverpool are the favorites to win the Champions League title, but so does the English captain.
“I think it’s too early to say that Liverpool are the favorites to win the Champions League again,” Henderson said.
“For us, we have started the season on a good path and we want to go down that path. “We still think we can develop as a team.”
“This is what we will try to do to Naples, we will try to do everything to make this edition go well,” Henderson added.
Liverpool won their sixth Champions League title last season after defeating Tottenham in the final in Madrid.
