“Inter – Barcelona as a final”
Former Inter owner Massimo Moratti has said every time the Nerazzurri play against Barcelona we give the impression that a final match is being played and predicted that the two clubs will donate magnificent performances on Tuesday night.
The Catalan giants visit Giuseppe Meazza Stadium as the group’s winner on Tuesday, but Inter need three points to make sure they will pass the group stage in the Champions League.
The former president said that the Nerazzurri should not think about the outcome of the Borussia Dortmund – Slavia Prague match, but focus on winning against the Spanish champion.
“The Inter-Barcelona match is always special, for the history, for the prestige and the great quality that both teams have. It’s always like a final,” Moratti said.
“No one wants to fail. Expectations are very high from both clubs and I am sure we will see a great performance at San Siro,” he added.
“Interest must come into the field with only one goal: to win. He should not think too much about the outcome of the Dortmund match,” he concluded.
