Inter chief insists they are close to completing signing Eriksen
Inter boss Beppe Marotta has confirmed that the deal with Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen will be closed soon and the Danish will be dressed in blue.
The Denmark international will be a free agent on June 30, so Inter were hoping to buy him for a price well below the € 20million English club demands, knowing he has already reached an agreement with the player.
However, according to various media outlets, the deal will only be reached for 20m euros – including bonuses – while Monday or Tuesday will be set for Eriksen’s medical tests in Milan.
Marotta confirmed that Inter have been in talks with Tottenham for the 27-year-old.
“We are not hiding, you all know that we have been in talks with Tottenham for some time. His contract expires on June 30, so it’s fair for us to talk about his remaining six months,” Marotta said.
“We are optimistic and hope that agreement will be reached as soon as possible, knowing that the transitional deadline will close on Friday,” he added.
