Inzaghi: Lazio has already reached the goal in the Champions League
Simone Inzaghi says Lazio should ‘enjoy every moment’ of their clash with Bayern Munich and insists that Biancocelesti achieved their goal by qualifying for the 1/16 stage of the Champions League.
Lazio face Bayern at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, three weeks after their 4-1 home defeat in the first leg of the 16th round of the Champions League.
“We know how much we have worked in recent years to play games like this, in a prestigious stadium and against a great team,” Inzaghi told a news conference.
“Our goal was to qualify for the elimination stages for the first time in 20 years. We did it, we know we lost our qualifying hopes, but we will play there in the best way,” he added.
“We will go there to play the game in the best way, also because before we played against Bayern, we had never lost. We want to have a great match,” Inzaghi concluded
