Juventus can not keep Ronaldo without the Champions League
Juventus are fighting for a place in the Champions League next season and risk being forced to sell Cristiano Ronaldo if they fail to qualify.
After a deep 3-0 loss to AC Milan on Sunday, Juve drop to fifth place in the Serie A table, one point behind fourth-placed Napoli.
Without participating in the most prestigious competition, the club’s revenue will drop sharply.
Therefore, Italian media report that the Italian giant will be forced to part ways with the Portuguese superstar if he closes the season out of the top four in Serie A.
But the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star will leave Juventus, anyway, as he does not want to play for a team that does not compete in the Champions League.
His manager will have to make compromises, however, because no club can afford his high salary.
Ronaldo has scored 27 goals in Serie A so far this season and can help the old lady qualify, as there are still three games left until the end. But not everything depends on Juventus.
