Klopp defends rival Man City: What a crime against them

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has regretted his rival club Manchester City will be forced to play two Premier League matches within 48 hours, calling the champions’ busy schedule in force criminal.

Pep Guardiola’s side will face the Wolves on December 27, before hosting Sheffield United on December 29.

The City coach has already expressed outrage at the match schedule and even wrote a letter to the Premier League to complain.

While Liverpool will be hoping for Guardiola’s boys to score points again in the Premier League title race, coach Klopp has expressed regret at City’s situation and says no team should be forced to play two league games so close to each other.

“It’s not okay, definitely not. None of the coaches have a problem playing Boxing Day, but it’s a crime to play on the 27th and then the 29th, ”Klopp said.

“This year, we played on the 26th and 29th and it looks like a break. I understand everyone who says this should not happen. They don’t cry. They just tell the truth,” he added.
