Klopp: I Don’t Celebrate Goals Anymore Due To VAR
VAR is changing everything.
Until it still manages to stave off controversy on the field, VAR has managed to unfortunately, to dispel some of the excitement that football gives them.
That’s the way Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s coach, thinks, who no longer celebrates the goals for fear of being canceled out with the VAR intervention.
“I don’t know where the offensive was, to be honest,” Klopp said when asked about the possible offensive in Sadio Manes’ goal against Watford.
“I don’t celebrate goals until someone tells me it’s a goal.”
“I didn’t see if Sadio was offensive, I didn’t watch then, I have no idea,” he added after the game.
Liverpool are heading safely to the Premier League title after 30 years. After 17 games, the ‘Reds’ lead by 49 points, 10 more than Leicester City’s closest follower and 17 more than current champions Manchester City.
