Koeman defends Neymar
Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman is disappointed that Neymar will miss the Champions League match between Barca and Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, due to injury.
The Brazilian star suffered an injury in a match against Caen and as a result will be out for about a month.
Koeman has come to the defense of the Brazilian. Calling on the referees to protect the players from the harsh interventions of the opponents.
“You have to protect such a player.” Koeman said when asked about Neymar at a news conference.
“You have to protect players like Neymar, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, because they are players who allow us to enjoy the game. Judges have to protect them, which is why there is contact in this sport.” he added.
