Former Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes believes his old team will win La Liga this season, however, according to him, it all depends on Barcelona’s 32-year-old Lionel Messi.
“My heart is telling me that Real Madrid will win La Liga,” Morientes said.
“It depends on Messi. When Cristiano Ronaldo was there, they were very close.”
“The two teams are playing at a high level. The season will really start in February,” he added.
In the last decade, Real have won La Liga twice, in the 2011/12 season with Jose Mourinho and in the 2016/17 season with Zinedine Zidane.
