Liverpool transfer Preston defender Ben Davies
The 25-year-old defender has completed the transfer of the Premier League champions on the last day of the transfer window.
Liverpool have completed the transfer of defender Ben Davies from Preson for 1.6 million pounds.
The Reds will initially pay 500,000 for the 25-year-old defender while another 1.1m will be paid based on appearances and bonuses.
Davies underwent medical tests Monday morning at Liverpool after his move to Celtic failed. He has signed a long-term contract and is expected to train with his new squad on Tuesday.
Liverpool are also expected to sign Ozan Kabak, who will initially join the Schalke team on loan with a 18million summer purchase option.
“I am just happy to be here. It’s a good opportunity for me. Of course, it was a bit of a surprise for months when I was told Liverpool were looking for me. It is an extraordinary opportunity for months. “It would be a weakness on my part if I did not learn from these players who are among the best in the world.”
