Manchester United beat Burnley, approaches the leader by 8 points
Manchester United defeated Burnley 3: 1 in a fun match on Sunday, approaching the leader Manchester City by only eight points.
Mason Greenwood shone with two goals, while Edinson Cavani scored the third goal at Old Trafford, for the fifth consecutive victory of United.
That victory means United are now just eight points behind leaders City, and 12 points behind fifth-placed Chelsea, six games to go.
Burnley, who are on the edge of relegation with just six points more than 18th-place Fulham, made great efforts to score a point but were crushed in the end.
Greenwood had given United the lead in the 48th minute after being served by Marcos Rashford.
Just two minutes later, James Tarkowski equalized by scoring with a header after a corner kick.
After many attempts and a great dominance, United regained the lead. Greenwood scored after his shot was deflected by the visiting defender.
Cavani sealed Burnley’s loss by scoring United’s third goal in the 93rd minute.
