Messi speaks after abducting ‘Ballon d’Or’ for the sixth time

Messi writes history, abducts ‘Golden Ball’ for the sixth time.

Messi has won the ‘Ballon d’Or’ for 2019, writing the story after becoming the only player to have won the prize six times, leaving Ronaldo with 1 behind.

As expected, Lionel Messi is officially the winner of the 2019 Golden Ball.

He beat Virgil van Dijkin, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Manen to win this award for the sixth time in a row, more than any other player in history.

Leo left Cristiano behind with five ‘Golden Balls’.

This award went to the Argentine thanks to another magical season, where in 50 games in all competitions in the 2018/19 edition, he scored 51 goals and provided 22 assists.

“I want to thank all the journalists who voted for me, who wanted me to win this award, thank you very much. Thanks also to the players, my team, have contributed a lot to this award that I have won, thank you very much. I remember the first moment in Paris, with my brothers, when I won the first ball, it was magical, I didn’t think so, especially after I came back to win it several times,” Leo said.
