Messi would challenge himself by transferring to PSG
As speculation mounts about a move to Paris Saint-Germain for Lionel Messi, Omar da Fonseca says the Barcelona star would set himself the challenge of launching something new in France.
There he would find Neymar, one of the best friends he has had on and off the pitch, something that would help him acclimatize immediately to the drastic career change.
Leo wanted to leave the summer he left behind, but the former president, Josep Bartomeu, stopped him for at least another year, as his contract will expire in June and now the 33-year-old himself will have the last word.
Asked if it was possible for Messi to join PSG, he said: “Yes. If we look at the Spanish press, they say that his whole family has started learning French.”
“Whether he will go, he will decide for himself that challenge. Imagine saying that with PSG he won the Champions League.”
“If someone had told me as a child that he would play in Paris, my ears would have cried!”
