Milan and Roma in ‘war’ for Belotti
Milan and Roma are reportedly fighting for the signing of Torino captain and Italian national team star Andrea Belotti.
The Rossoneri and Giallorossi are targeting Belotti’s transfer this summer, as the Italian striker’s contract expires in June 2022 with Torino.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Milan is ready to offer around 25 million euros for the striker, but emphasizes that there is still far from the tariff requested by the president of Torino Urbano Cairo.
A place in the Champions League would strengthen the position of the Rossoneri in the battle for the signing of Belotti, but the newspaper emphasizes that Roma is also in battle.
Roma may not be able to offer football in the Champions League, but Belotti is said to be fascinated by the city and Tiago Pinto’s project in Trigoria.
However, if Milan will offer 25 million euros for a 28-year-old striker so close to the expiration of the contract, the newspaper reveals that Tiago Pinto will withdraw from the negotiations.
