Rakitic: Messi is like a video game, I’m proud to have played with him
Ivan Rakitic has spoken about the past six years playing alongside Lionel Messi in Barcelona, ??saying that the continuity and skills of his former teammate resemble video games.
Rakitic joined Barcelona in 2014, before leaving the Camp Nou to return to Seville this season.
In an interview with Goal, the 33-year-old talked about time with Messi and showed what he wishes the Argentine for the future.
“A player always wants to compete and enjoy the best players and when he is the best of all time, even better. It was an extraordinary six years, where I learned a lot.” Rakitic told Messi.
“I look at Leo, who has scored at least 30 goals in nine consecutive seasons, it looks like a video game. If you play PlayStation, let them tell you that you are making fun of people and that you know all the tricks. It’s something you enjoy every day,” he added.
“I am very proud to have spent so many years with him, to have fought for many titles with him and to have won so many titles with him.” he underlined.
