Sevilla wins the first semi-final match against Barcelona

Sevilla beat Barcelona at home in Sanchez Pizjuan. Goals for the locals were scored by Kounde and Rakitic. The second semifinal match will be played at the Camp Nou on March 3.

Sevilla beat Barcelona 2-0 to go to the return match with a solid lead.

Barcelona started the match better where Messi had the first chance to score in the 11th minute of the match but his shot was blocked by the goalkeeper of Sevilla.

Sevilla risked Barcelona for the first time with Kounde in the 19th minute after getting a good ball in the area but his shot was inaccurate.

Kounde did not make a mistake the second time as he manages to score in the 25th minute of the match. He entered the area and made an accurate shot that ended in the left side of the gate of ter Stegen.

Sevilla had a good chance in the extra first minute of the first half but still failed to score as Escudero won a return ball but ter Stegen awaits the ball.

In the second half Messi would again attack the gate of Sevilla.

He made a shot outside the area in the 55th minute but the ball ends up just outside the left corner of the goal.

Messi had another chance in the 72nd minute of the match but still he was unlucky in his attempt.

The winner of this match was practically decided in the 85th minute where Ivan Rakitic scored a beautiful goal.

Now Sevilla will have another 90 minutes where they will play at the Camp Nou to go to the final, a match which will be played on March 3.
