Solskjaer: Roma club with history, can’t wait for the semi-final challenge
Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eagerly awaiting the Europa League semi-final against Roma.
The Giallorossi beat Ajax 3-2 overall, winning 2-1 in Amsterdam and drawing 1-1 at the Olimpico.
The “Red Devils” defeated Granada 4-0 in total, with two victories 2-0 at home and abroad.
“I have not seen much of Rome. I know they played two good games against Ajax. They defend well, as Italian teams always do. We all know Edin Dzeko, so every ball in the area is a dangerous ball.”
“We are looking forward to this match. We are in the semifinals. It feels like a proper European draw because Roma is a club with a lot of history. We have done well against Italian teams before.”
“We will enter hoping to reach the final. If we can finish the season with a trophy that would be great.” Solskjaer told BT Sport.
The first match is at Old Trafford on April 29, while the return match at the Stadio Olimpico on May 6.
