The English team is currently second in the Championship with 88 points, 10 more than third place, when there are three laps left until the end.
Last season, Watford finished in penultimate place in the Premier League, falling one place lower.
Along with Watford, Norwich has also secured a place in the Premier League, having also been relegated to the Championship last year.
