Tierney will miss against Wolves, returns Aubameyang

Scotland and Arsenal star Kierant Tierney is suffering from a thigh injury.

Arsenal have confirmed that Kieran Tierney will miss Tuesday’s Premier League match against Wolves, but the Gunners have posted photos with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in training

Tierney missed the 0-0 draw with Manchester United at the Emirates on Saturday due to an injury to his right leg – and team manager Mikel Arteta confirmed at a press conference on Monday that he has not returned to training.

“They still can’t train with us, so I think it will be a little harder for them.” Arteta told Tierney and Bukayo Saka. “I do not know, we will try until the last minute – to see how they will feel.”

Saka, who also missed the draw with the Red Devils, is in contention to play against the Wolves on Tuesday after returning to training, while Tierney will not play.

“Kieran continues to have a problem with his right foot,” the club said in a statement. “Kieran will not play in Tuesday’s game.”

“Bukayo Saka was absent in Saturday’s match due to a groin injury. “Bukayo is back in full training and we will find out tomorrow if he will be able to play.”

Aubameyang, who did not play in the FA Cup Gunners on January 23, is back in training. He has said he was absent because his mother is ill.

Also returning from injury are Dani Ceballas and Pabllo Mari.
