With Kante you always have at least a half more player on the field, says the Chelsea coach
N’Golo Kante made a great appearance for Chelsea against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, which was awarded the player of the match award.
The 29-year-old midfielder helped Chelsea reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League with an overall score of 3: 0 from two matches in the 1/8 finals against the La Liga leader.
With his appearance on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge, Kante brought back memories of that old Kante from the time he won the title for both Leicester City and Chelsea for two consecutive seasons.
In doing so, he seems to have won the admiration of Thomas Tuchel, who was named Chelsea coach in January.
“If you play with N’Golo Kante then at least you always play with half a man more. It’s something special.” said Tuchel.
“It is a pleasure to be his coach, he is a great gift to me, such a modest guy who helps so much on the field.” he added.
