Zidane: Hard victory, but nothing is closed yet
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane spoke at the press conference after the 1-0 victory against Atalanta.
The Frenchman gave credit to Atalanta for the game played, saying that finding the goal and winning this match was important.
“I do not know if the red was excessive, it is up to the judge to make the decisions. We did not play well, but the important thing is the result. However, we still have the second game. Physically they are very strong, they defend very well. We found no space, we only scored at the end. For us, however, it is very important to find the goal.”
He says the goal action comes from training and has been proven before.
“It was a tried and tested game in training, we tried it with another player. But he found the goal. When he has to shoot hard, he (Mendy) can also hit with his right foot, while with his left foot he is more precise”, said Zidane.
