Agent: “Bale unlikely to ever return to Tottenham”
Gareth Bale manager Jonathan Barnett has said his client will never return to Tottenham because he is happy in Spain, amid rumors the Welshman will leave Real Madrid for the former club.
Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham in the summer of 2013 for a record-breaking €100 million.
Barnett, who has often defended the Welshman in public after criticism and hardship in the Spanish capital, says returning to Spurs in the Premier League is not possible.
Asked if it will ever happen, he told TalkSPORT: I don’t think so. No. He is in a fortunate place.”
“When his contract expires, he will sit down with me and his family and decide what to do next. Gareth is very happy there (in Madrid). To be realistic, for many clubs Bale is financially inaccessible,” he added.
