Ajax and Chelsea reach agreement on transfer Ziyech
Ajax star Hakim Ziyech is reportedly set to move from Amsterdam to London over the summer, due to the Dutch club’s deal with Chelsea.
Dutch newspaper Telegraaf reports that Chelsea have reached an agreement, though not written, on the transfer of midfielder Hakim Ziyech from Ajax during the summer transfer window.
Coach Frank Lampard is eager to bring the Moroccan midfielder to Stamford Bridge, with work now under way to buy him for £ 45m once this 2019/20 season ends.
Chelsea are currently the only club in talks with Ajax for the transfer of Ziyech, who has contributed six goals and 12 assists to Dutch trucks this season in the Dutch elite football league.
The London club started working on Ziyech’s transfer last week, as Lampard was furious that the club did not transfer any players during the January transfer window.
Lampard had made it clear that he wanted team reinforcements in January, especially after the club had tried hard to lift FIFA’s penalty for not allowing new players.
