All players’ votes for ‘The Best’ won by Messi
Lionel Messi has been named Player of the Year, beating Virgil van Dijk and Cristiano Ronaldo for FIFA’s ‘The Best’.
The Argentine star was remarkable last season in terms of individual goals, as he scored the most goals and made the most assists.
The five-time Golden Ball winner received 46 points to win the award for best player in the world’s largest football house.
The Dutch defender received 38 points, while the Portuguese star had 36.
Behind them were the likes of Mohamed Salah (26), Sadio Mane (23), Kylian Mbappe (17), Frenkie de Jong and Eden Hazard with 16, Kevind de Bruyne (9) and Harry Kane with five points.
