Allegri returns to make revolution in Juventus
Massimiliano Allegri is expected to return to Juventus and make a revolution that was denied to him two years ago, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Allegri left Juventus before the start of the 2019/20 season after disagreements with the management. But he is expected to return now and continue where he left off.
Following his departure, Mauricio Sarri took charge of the Whites and led them to their ninth consecutive Serie A title, before being sacked to make way for Andrea Pirlo this season.
Inter are on the verge of ending Juventus’ dominance in Serie A this season, but the Whites risk even worse, not participating in the Champions League next season after poor results under Pirlo.
As a result, Pirlo’s future is in doubt and he has only six games left to convince the leaders, including the Italian Cup final against Atalanta in May.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Allegri is considered the right man to restore Juventus’ prestige.
The Italian daily writes that Allegri will demand revolution in Juve, the same thing he had asked from the leaders before he was fired in 2019.
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the players Allegri was willing to remove to build a team around Paulo Dybala.
Ronaldo’s future is uncertain anyway, but Allegri knows how to do even without the Portuguese, turning him into the center of the Dybala project.
