Ancelotti reacts after being fired from Napoli
Carlo Ancelotti has thanked Napoli for what he said was an unforgettable experience as coach of the club, despite being fired last night after sending the team to 1/8 of the Champions League final.
Ancelotti was sacked late Tuesday night, just hours after leading Napoli to a 4-0 win over Genk and passing among the top 16 teams in the Champions.
His dismissal, however, came as a result of two extremely tense months in San Paolo.
Many of Napoli’s players wrote messages of gratitude to their former coach and now Ancelotti has broken his silence.
“I want to thank the club personally, its staff, my players, my staff and the president for the opportunity to experience a memorable experience in a wonderful city like Naples,” Ancelotti wrote on Twitter.
