Arsenal are eliminated, Roma get a worthless victory
Arsenal were eliminated from the Europa League, drawing 0-0 in the return challenge in London, while in the first meeting they lost 2-1. Manchester United, on the other hand, lost 3-2 to Roma, but qualified for the final thanks to a 6-2 victory in the first leg.
It was thought that in the Europa League, as well as in the Champions League, there may be English finals, but no – Manchester United – Villarreal will be the final in the Europa League for the 2021/22 season.
United has managed to eliminate Roma, while Villarreal Arsenal.
The Gunners drew 0-0 at home, after losing 2-1 on the road.
Arsenal tried, created chances, but did not manage to send the ball into the net, thus saying goodbye to the Europa League.
In the next match, Manchester United eliminated Roma with an overall score of 8-5.
United were defeated 3-2 in the return challenge, but reached the final thanks to a 6-2 victory in the first meeting.
Edinson Cavani scored both goals for United, while Cristante, Dzeko and Zalewski scored for Roma.
