Bale still loves Real Madrid and wants to return – his manager confirms
Gareth Bale still loves Real Madrid and wants to return to the Santiago Bernabeu, according to his manager Jonathan Barnett, who nevertheless says coach Zinedine Zidane may not accept such a thing.
The Welsh striker has a good relationship with Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho, despite the fact that he is giving him less opportunities than expected after returning to the Premier League, according to Barnett.
Bale returned to Tottenham to spend the rest of the season on loan from the La Liga giants as he was not in Zidane’s plans but has failed to have any influence on Mourinho’s squad.
Barnett, who secured Bale the move to Real Madrid from Tottenham almost a decade ago, believes the Welshman has no problem returning to the Spanish capital.
“He still loves Madrid. He has no problem with the club, it is a great club. It would not be a problem for him to come back to you.” Barnett told Goal.
“They just have to decide if they need to bring him back, if he can play for Madrid and so on. Maybe you should ask Zidane if he wants to return him, but I would say he does not want to,” he added.
