Barcelona confirms Jordi Albas injury, missing at least two weeks
Barcelona have confirmed the injury of defender Jordi Alba, who was forced to leave the field in the Champions League clash with Burossia Dortmund.
The Spanish defender was forced out of the match against Dortmund after just 40 minutes of play due to injury.
This morning (Wednesday), the player underwent several medical tests and an injury to the upper thigh of his left foot was confirmed.
“Tests have shown that player Jordi Alba has an injury to his upper thigh.”
“The player is now unavailable for action and his recovery will dictate his return,” the Barcelona statement said.
After this injury, Alba is thought to be missing for at least 10 to 15 days.
Thus, Alba are expected to be out of action for the upcoming La Liga meeting with Granada this weekend and the other two meetings against Villarreal and Getafe.
