Barcelona presidential candidate promise: We will buy three superstars
Barcelona presidential candidate Toni Freixa has revealed that his election campaign has reached an agreement with an investor for a contribution of 250 million euros, which would be used to bring new players to the club.
In fact, Freixa even admitted in which wards it will strengthen the team, if it wins the March 7 elections.
“We have been working for some time now and we can say that we have reached an agreement with an investor, who will contribute 250 million euros to Barcelona,” Freixa told RAC1.
“In the 2021/22 season we will bring three superstars: two in attack and one in defense.” he insisted.
Asked if coach Ronald Koeman would agree to these three acquisitions, the 52-year-old was clear.
“It is impossible for Koeman not to like them. They are special players.” he said.
Koeman will be Barca’s coach until the end of his contract (June 30, 2022), without a doubt. “Giving stability to the coach and the team always pays off,” he added.
