Bayern Munich coach happy with dramatic draw with Arminia Bielefeld
Arminia Bielefeld put Bayern Munich in a lot of trouble last night at the “Allianz Arena”, as they went into a double advantage, but in the end forced them to leave with only one point won, after the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
The coach of Germany champions, Hansi Flick praised the opponent for the game made and stressed that his team was tired from the long journeys and the busy schedule, which was also reflected on the field of play.
However, for the Bavarian coach, the draw against the 16th place in the ranking has a positive aspect and it is exactly the reaction of the team in the second half of the match, where although at a disadvantage of two goals, they believed until the end and managed to avoid defeat.
“Arminia Bielefeld showed that it can play football and I liked that very much. We were forced to make some changes in the lineup due to absences, but fatigue also affected us a lot, as we have recently faced a busy calendar and long trips. However, I liked the belief of the team that they could do it even when they were at a disadvantage of two goals. We reacted quite well in the second half and I can say that this gives us the taste of victory even though we only got one point”, said Flick.
With the draw against Arminia Bielefeld, Bayern went to the quota of 49 points at the top of the standings, followed by Leipzig with 44 points, while this season the Bavarians are the main favorites to triumph in the Bundesliga.
