Bayern Munich wins the direct derby for the title against RB Leipzig
Bayern Munich defeated RB Leipzig 1: 0, in a direct duel for the title in the Bundesliga, taking a big step towards defending the title.
Leon Goretzka scored the only goal and the triumph for the reigning champion against Leipzig on Saturday at the Red Bull Arena.
The German midfielder scored in the 38th minute when he was miraculously served by Thomas Muller.
This was the fifth consecutive victory for the Bavarians since the shocking loss against Eintracht Frankfurt.
And it means Bayern now collect 64 points after 27 games at the top of the table, leaving Leipzig with 57 points in second place.
In the next round, Bayern hosts Union Berlin, while Leipzig visits Werder Bremen.
