Benzema scored for the first time against Atletico at the Berbabeu
Karim Benzema scored his first goal against Atletico Madrid on Saturday afternoon’s derby
The Real Madrid striker had never scored against Los Rojiblancos at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium until today where he scored after Ferland Mendy’s cross in the second half.
His goal was the first against a team he failed to score, but he was also the first after five games where the French striker had not scored.
This is the second goal of the week after Benzema scored against Real Zaragoza in the King’s Cup on Wednesday evening.
