Capello: Messi will stay in Barcelona, I do not believe he goes to PSG
Well-known coach, Fabio Capello, has said that Lionel Messi will stay at Barcelona despite his contract expiring at the end of the season.
The Argentine has been closely linked with a move as a free player to PSG over the summer, but the former coach believes he will not go anywhere deciding to stay at the Camp Nou.
“I think Messi will stay in Barcelona, I do not believe PSG will spend all that money.”
“Laporta is the favorite to become president of Barcelona again and he has a very good relationship with Messi.”
“He adores Barcelona, everyone wants him there, I do not think there is any chance to see him join PSG.”
“With Laporta he will focus on building a better Barcelona team,” Capello told Sky Sport following the Catalans’ 4-1 defeat to PSG in the Champions League.
