Ceferin will propose the exclusion of Barcelona, Real and Juventus from the Champions League for two seasons

Following the Champions League final, UEFA President Alexander Ceferin will propose suspending Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus from European competition for two years.

This is because these three teams are still part of the European Super League, a competition which initially had 12 teams, but which left within 48 hours.

UEFA announced today that officially nine of the 12 clubs of the European Super League have signed the departure.

Atletico Madrid, Milan, Inter, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham will be out of this project.

These clubs admit that the Super League project was a mistake and apologize to fans, national associations, national leagues, other European clubs and UEFA.

In particular, each club agrees to participate in each UEFA competition each season for which the club qualifies for sporting merit.

They will lose 5% of their income from European competition for one season.

They also agree to impose substantial fines if they seek to play in such an unauthorized match (€100 million) or if they violate any other commitments entered into in the Club Commitment Statement (€50 million).

The other three clubs, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid will face disciplinary action by UEFA, as they are still part of the European Super League.
