Chiellini to extend 15-year association with Juventus
Giorgio Chiellini is back from his injury at Juventus and is now expected to extend his contract with the Serie A champion for another 12 months.
The veteran defender in the Juventus squad has already spent 15 years with the Italian giant after joining the Bianconeri for the first time in 2005.
Chiellini had missed all games except the first one this season. However, he made his return last weekend when he was embroiled in a 2-0 victory over Brescia and was greeted with cheering by fans.
Now back from injury, the 35-year-old is getting ready to strike a new deal with Juventus.
Chiellini’s current contract expires this summer, but the Bianconeri do not want to lose the veteran quarterback.
Now all the paperwork and bids needed to extend the Italian contract for another year are now being prepared. However Goal reports that all that is left to achieve this contract renewal are the formalities.
