Coutinho doesn’t regret leaving Liverpool

The Brazilian star feels happy with the success of his former club, insisting the Reds’ achievements are no surprise.

Philippe Coutinho is not at all surprised by Liverpool’s successes in the last two years.

However, the Brazilian star insists he is not sorry he had left Anfield Road.

The 27-year-old joined Barcelona in January 2018 after five years with the Reds.

He did not find himself enough at Camp Nou and was loaned out to Bayern Munich last summer.

The former Inter and Espanyol player says he never regrets the decisions he made.

“Liverpool are flying and that doesn’t surprise me. We saw last year winning the Champions League. I’m not surprised as he has a fantastic team and coach. I’m very happy for them, I have friends there,” Coutinho told Sports Illustrated.

“But I don’t look back. I’ve taken another step, I’m on another path. I’m focused on making dreams come true. I am happy with what I have done in the past and now I am only looking forward,” the Brazilian representative added.

Coutinho does not want to return to Barcelona and hopes to continue his experience at the Allianz Arena.
