Dani Olmo, Spain’s main threat

Offensive midfielder Dani Olmo is being considered as the great star of the Spanish National Team now and in the future.

Spain got the first victory of their qualifying season in the World Cup thanks to Dani Olmo, who scored the winning goal in the 92nd minute against Georgia.

It was not the first time that Olmo, a key player on Luis Enrique’s team, had to keep his head cool at a critical moment; after all, he has been doing this since he was 16 years old.

Although he was the top scorer in his age group at the Barcelona academy, the lack of a coherent vision set by the Blaugrana prompted Olmo to join Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb.

“Going to Zagreb at the age of 16 may sound surreal, but I certainly chose that option,” Olmo told ABC last week.

After arriving with the promise of an important role at Dinamo Zagreb, within two years, while training with the first team once a week, he was soon introduced to the first team and soon became a regular starter.

In short, he was a European U-21 champion with Spain before making his full debut alongside Robert Moreno.

With his father Miguel and agents Juanma Lopez and Andy Bara at his side, Olmo made the move in January 2020 to RB Leipzig, where he is now a key member of a squad competing with Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title.

Dani Olmo is a star for the club and the country and, like never before, he is doing it his way.
