Dortmund manager Sammer: Haaland is not ready to leave
One of the executives and former Borussia Dortmund legend, Matthais Sammer, has said that striker Erling Haaland should stay where he is.
The Norway striker is being linked with big clubs such as Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United for a summer transfer.
However, Dortmund executives believe that Haaland is not ready to leave the Bundesliga club.
“I would recommend Erling to look at the value of Borussia Dortmund as well,” Sammer initially told Bild.
“The club has given him a lot. From here he can only go to a few clubs.”
“When Erling takes the next step, he has to be a finished, perfect product. He is very, very good, but he needs to improve some details.”
“Robert Lewandowski was complete when he left for Bayern. It was clear: he went straight to the starting 11th. But as a counter-example, Ousmane Dembele left for Barcelona, ??perhaps a very quick moment.”
“Erling is developing, but he is not complete,” concluded the Dortmund manager.
